We believe that every student is an adventure and a challenge! This philosophy applies to all children, of all levels and abilities. The water is a great equalizer. If your swimmer is tentative, we help them overcome their fears. If they love swimming, we take them to the next level.

Hubbard Family Swim School (HFSS) attributes the success of our special needs program to a staff of professional and dedicated personnel. We love what we do and have an ability to transfer our love of the water to the children that join us, regardless of ability.

We have been blessed with beautiful indoor swim schools, and in these handicapped-accessible settings we are committed to offer swim lessons on a weekly basis to students with special needs. We are not therapists, nor are we specially trained to work with children with special needs. However, HFSS provides a forum where we share our enthusiasm and love of the water with children who can greatly benefit from this special time spent in an aquatic environment.

HFSS works hard to provide a safe and educational water environment while keeping water time fun and rewarding. We are simply offering the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of the water and the freedom it allows to children who have difficulty with motion or expression in varying forms.

We work with students in this program in a one-on-one ratio, or combine students in groups of up to 4, as determined by our supervisors. We provide a swim lesson experience to children with special needs, and we asses the child based on physical and mental capabilities.
