1. When can I sign up?
Anytime!
2. What if I join in the middle of the month?
You will pay the prorated amount for the month in which you are starting by credit card, check or cash.
3. Why is there a minimum of 8 lessons?
We have an 8 lesson minimum because we do not feel that it is fair to your child or to a teacher to ‘try’ swimming lessons. Eight lessons is a total of four hours. We believe this is the absolute minimum amount of time needed for a child to adjust to the lesson structure and begin the learning process.
4. How long does my child attend lessons?
Our classes are ‘perpetual’ which means that they continue indefinitely until you notify us by phone or at the front desk that you wish to take a break.
5. How do I withdraw from my class?
Give us a 30 day notice. Stop by the front desk, give us a call, or drop us an email with the last day you wish to attend.
6. How do I change my day or time?
You can change your day and time by talking to our front desk or calling our booking center at 602.971.4044. We change classes constantly to accommodate our students. Please call us for availability. Give us the days and times that work for you and our staff will work to find a spot that meets your needs. We work very hard to get your child in the correct class and we believe that being able to talk with you allows us to get the best fit for your swimmer.
7. Just once a week?
We believe consistent education produces outstanding results. Once a week lessons provide the foundation for learning that lasts a lifetime. if your child would like to swim more than once a week you may select an additional day and time.
8. When can I make up a class?
Our policy is that we do not encourage make ups. Many of our classes are full and it is impossible to guarantee a makeup. We will try to accommodate you when there is an appropriate class available.
Our teachers are here waiting for you at your scheduled time, making your class the best possible learning environment for your child! If it is impossible for you to make your scheduled class, we can look into the current week to see if there is an appropriate class and teacher available. Please stop at the front desk or call our booking center for assistance. If a make up cannot be scheduled we offer a free Friday Family Swim for the entire family.
Make ups must be used within 4 weeks of the missed class. There is a limit of 2 make up classes per 6 months of lessons. To qualify for a make up, you must call and cancel before you miss your class. Make up lessons can be booked up to 7 days out.
9. What about teacher requests?
Some of our students and many of our parents have become fond of particular teachers. We love our teachers and we will continue to do make decisions regarding where teachers are placed based on our effort to provide the best swimming experience possible for everyone. We are well aware that different students respond to different teaching personalities and we always try to respond to these requests. We will never guarantee a teacher and we will always reserve the right to change teachers of other considerations require it.
10. What if my class has only one or two students?
If a group class has only one or two students, as always, we reserve the right to consolidate that class.
11. What sort of diaper does my child wear in the pool?
Cloth, reusable swim diapers are REQUIRED for all students under the age of 3, even those who are potty-trained. They are available for purchase at all of our locations. We do allow disposable swim diapers in the pool under the cloth diaper if you choose to “double diaper.”
